- 60 mL bourbon
- 30 mL lemon juice, freshly squeezed and strained
- 22 mL simple syrup
- lemon, 1 peel for garnish
- Place 6 or 7 square ice cubes into a cocktail shaker. Pour in the bourbon, coating the ice. Add in the fresh lemon juice and simple syrup. Shake in a vertical motion for 30 seconds.
- Strain slowly into an ice filled rocks glass. Garnish with a lemon peel.
